CDC calls for applications for the following programs for mathematicians from developing and economically disadvantaged countries:

Applications have to be sent at least three months before the visit is starting. Applications are reviewed every four to six weeks.

2) Conference Support Program

This program gives partial support to conferences in the mathematical sciences The funds are for academic use only (travel or living expenses of invited speakers or participants coming from developing countries).

Conference organizers should apply at least four months in advance to the Grants Selection Committee of CDC but no later than three month in advance. Applications are reviewed every four to six weeks.

3) Abel Visiting Scholar Program

The Niels Henrik Abel Board and the International Mathematical Union invite applications from mathematicians professionally based in developing countries to visit an international research collaborator for a period of one month. The period is extendable for up to three months in the case of matching support from the host institution.

The program is designed for post doctoral mathematicians in the early stages of their professional careers. It is designed to offer the opportunity for a ‘research sabbatical,’ a necessary complement to teaching and other academic duties for mathematicians desiring to also sustain a viable research program.

The following deadlines apply:

•   April 30, 2015 for research visits between September 1 and  December 31, 2015

•   August 31, 2015 for research visits between January 1 and April 30, 2016. 

•   December 31, 2015 or research visits between April 1 and August 31, 2016

The “Postdoc International” POINT research fellowship program – co-financed by the German Excellence Initiative and the Marie Curie Program of the European Commission – provides funding for outstanding postdoctoral researchers from all disciplines to conduct their own research project at Freie Universität Berlin.

The POINT program was designed by Dahlem Research School at Freie Universität Berlin to promote the further academic career development through research funding, a tailored qualification program and the opportunity to develop teaching and leadership skills. It also provides essential professional guidance on preparing grant proposals to support POINT fellows in obtaining funding for follow-up research projects at Freie Universität Berlin.

Eligibility

Starting in November 2015, each research fellowship will be awarded for 18 months. The call is open to experienced researchers of all disciplines and all nationalities who:

• hold a doctoral degree (the dissertation must be submitted)
• completed their doctoral degree no longer than 6 years before the deadline
• have not resided in Germany for longer than 12 months during the last 36 months

Female postdoctoral researchers and returnees from phases of international, inter-sectoral and/or non-academic mobility (such as researching outside Germany, working for industry or a career break e.g. due to family reasons) are specifically encouraged to apply.

Applicants have to submit a project plan based around the research fields/ key topics of the participating Excellence Projects or Focus Areas.

Deadline for applications: 13 March 2015, 12:00 noon (Berlin local time)

Funding

• 18 months, starting November 2015
• Employment contract at level TV-L FU E13 (of approx. 26.600 to 34.200 Euro net salary p.a.)
• Social security and health insurance included
• A research allowance for the duration of the project of 10.800 Euro for non lab-based/ 16.200 Euro for field trip-based/ 21.600 Euro for lab-based projects
• A monthly mobility allowance of 200 Euro and a one-time travel allowance

Được sự tài trợ của CIMPA, từ năm 2011, Hội Toán học Đông Nam Á tổ chức cá trường (xuân, hè, thu, đông) SEAMS với các chủ đề khác nhau. Đối tượng tham dự là học viên cao học, sinh viên năm cuối và nghiên cứu sinh năm đầu. Năm 2015, sẽ có 6 trường SEAMS như vậy. Mỗi trường đều tài trợ cho 6-10 học viên từ nước khác với nước chủ nhà tới dự. Dưới đây là danh sách và địa chỉ liên hệ các trường (cũng có thể xem tại http://seams.maths.web.id).

Cán bộ trẻ quan tâm dự và xin tài trợ, cần xem các trang web và đăng kí, làm đơn xin cho đúng hạn.

Ngoài ra, từ nay đến 30/9/2015 SEAMS sẽ nhận hồ sơ đang kí tổ chức SEAMS school cho năm 2016 và sẽ công bố kết quả vào 10/11/2015.
