Global convexity of Carleman weighted objective functional for an inverse medium scattering problem

Abstract: In this talk, we propose a new method for solving an inverse medium scattering problem. The idea of the proposed method is to construct a Carleman weighted objective functional. We prove that this objective functional is convex in an arbitrary set if the Carleman weight parameter is chosen large enough.
