Mục đích: 1, To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the organization of the 1st Korea-Vietnam Workshop “Mathematical Optimization Theory and Applications” (Busan, February 1998) [there were a series of 8 Workshops Korea-Vietnam or Vietnam- Korea under the title “Mathematical Optimization Theory and Applications”, one in two years, in the period 1998 – 2011 in Busan, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, and Da Lat; afterwards, there were 4 smaller Workshops under different names in Busan and Hanoi to maintain the scientific exchanges between the research groups on Applied Analysis and Optimization Theory of Korea and Vietnam]. 2, To highlight the distinguished achievements on scientific research, training, and international cooperation of Professor Do Sang Kim and Professor Gue Myung Lee on the occasion of their 65th birthdays. 3, To create a forum for experts and young researchers of Vietnam, Korea, and other countries in the fields of Applied Analysis and Optimization Theory to exchange new research ideas and results.
