Constrained codes and error-correction codes in communication and storage systems

Tóm tắt: Constrained codes and Error-Correction Codes have played an important role in improving efficiency and reliability in many communication and data storage systems. While error-correction codes is measured by how the different codewords relate to one another (representing the capability of correcting errors occurring due to the channel noises), constrained codes is measured by properties of the individual codewords (eliminating forbidden sequences that are more prone to errors). In this talk, we will introduce some codes and their applications, particularly including codes for DNA-based data storage system. Interesting open problems are also discussed.
