Tóm tắt:  After a few general considerations on the relation between physics and mathematics in the development of Science, I shall use some concrete examples to illustrate my points: infinities and infinitesimals, groups, extra dimensions, etc… I shall then pursue by giving a brief summary of the current status of physics and astrophysics, with emphasis on the role of mathematics in their development. I shall then conclude with comments on the philosophical statements that this kind of questions often trigger.
