The finite difference method with semi-implicit Lagrange scheme is used to solve the 3D Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations (RAN) closing turbulence with k-epsilon model, advection-diffusion equations for substances and Exner’s equation for bed update in case of sediment transport. Especially, the parallel technique with OpenMP was used. So far the model was verified with some measurements and it can be applied to many the problems in practice, such as the flood in river system, wind-induced flows in lakes, tidal flows, sediment transport in estuaries and coastal zones, toxics propagation and oil slick, etc. However, in this report some typical applications of the model in practice are presented. Through the computed cases it shows the numerical scheme and algorithm used in FSUM are quite good. In addition, the high possibilities of multiform applications in simulation and prediction for the different problems related fluid environment in practice have been verified. |
