Time: 10h00, Tuesday, September 10, 2019 Location: Room 302, Building A5, Institute of Mathematics Abstract: Stabilising systems by random noise, though counter-intuitive, has been discovered and studied extensively in finite dimensional frameworks since the sixties. These results have been largely extended to infinite dimensional systems such as partial differential equations or functional differential equations in the last decades. Though it is realistic to consider stabilising effect of noise which acts only on the boundary of a domain, rigorous mathematical analysis is missing. This talk presents first results in this direction by considering a reaction-diffusion equation with stochastic dynamical boundary conditions.
