Abstract: Stabilising systems by random noise, though counter-intuitive, has been discovered and studied extensively in finite dimensional frameworks since the sixties. These results have been largely extended to infinite dimensional systems such as partial differential equations or functional differential equations in the last decades. Though it is realistic to consider stabilising effect of noise which acts only on the boundary of a domain, rigorous mathematical analysis is missing. This talk presents first results in this direction by considering a reaction-diffusion equation with stochastic dynamical boundary conditions.

This is based on a joint work with Klemens Fellner (Uni Graz), Stefanie Sonner (Radboud Uni) and Do Duc Thuan (HUST).
