Abstract: The sideways time-fractional advection-dispersion problem is well known to be ill-posed. We prove some stability estimates of Holder type for the problem and apply a mollification method to stabilize it. The mollification parameters are chosen either by a priori or by a posterior parameter choice rules which give error estimates of Holder type. Some numerical examples are presented for illustrating the efficiency of our approach.
