The Scientific Prize of the Institute of Mathematics, Hanoi is awared to those who have conducted outstanding research in Mathematics, not necessarily the Vietnamese person, but must be working or have a position in Vietnam in the years reviewed. The Prize winner must not be over 40 years of age (on January 1 of the year of the award) . The Prize is given every two years, in odd-numbered years and carries a a certificate and a cash award.
Prize Eligibility
- Candidate must not be over 40 years of age
- Candidate is currently working in Vietnam
Nomination Procedure: Candidate should submit the following application documents:
- Curriculum Vitae.
- List of Publications.
- Copy of outstanding publications (not more than 5)
- An introduction to research achievements writen by the candidate’s institution
From 01 August to 30 September of the year of the award, the applicants send the application documents above either by email to the Chair of Scientific Committee or by post to the Institute of Mathematics.
The decision will be announced at the end of November of the year of the award.
History: In 1982, the award "Scientific publication of young scientists" was established by the Institute of Mathematics, Hanoi. This award was given to applicants among researchers under 35 age in the institute. In 1995, this award was renamed by "Scientific prize for young scientists" and the applicants were researchers under 40 age in the institute. Since 1997, the award has been renamed by "The Scientific Prize of the Institute of Mathematics, Hanoi" and the range of applicants is broaden to all researchers under 40 years of age in Vietnam.
