Abstract: In this talk I will explain an interesting construction given in a very recent, still unpublished, paper by J. McCullough and I. Peeva. The main purpose of this construction is to provide counterexamples to the longstanding Eisenbud-Goto Conjecture on Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity. Then I will briefly revise main achievements of this problem and discuss what questions remain of interest.
