Abstract: The edge ideal of graph is the monomial ideal generated by the quadratic squarefree monomials corresponding to the edges of the graph. In this talk, we review the recent developments about the Castelnuovo--Mumford regularity of symbolic powers of edge ideals. We mostly focus on second, third and fourth symbolic powers.
