Abstract: One can attach to a complex semisimple Lie algebra a root system. We present a new approach for the theoretical reconstruction of a Lie semisimple Lie algebra from a root system based on elementary properties of Cohen-Macaulay modules. The new approach is more intuitive than classical Serre's approach using generators and relations because we construct specific tensors that the semisimple Lie algebra must stabilize. |
