Large - time behavior of solutions for damped hyperbolic equations involving strongly degenerate elliptic differential operators

Abstract: In this talk we present some results on  the asymptotic behavior of solutions of damped hyperbolic equations involving strongly degenerate elliptic differential operators. First we establish the existence of a global attractor for the damped hyperbolic equations under consideration. Then we prove the finite dimensionality of the global attractor.
