Presentation of Palm Calculus and Stochastic geometry, and network issues
Speaker: Anthony Busson (UCBL, LIP, ENS de Lyon)

Time: 9h30, Thursday,  October 29, 2015
Location: Room 201, Building A5, Institute of Mathematics, 18 Hoang Quoc Viet, Cau Giay, Ha Noi
Abstract: In this seminar, I will present some models and tools from probability theory used to study the performance of telecommunication networks. First, a short introduction to Palm calculus and stochastic geometry will be presented. It corresponds to the mathematical tools that I teach in the Institute of Mathematics. It will be followed by a subset of recent problems in computer science (and more precisely in networking) that we have addressed . For these issues, I will highlight the links between networking/technological aspects and the different mathematical tools and models.
