Ramis-Sauloy's work on irregular connections
Speaker: Đào Văn Thịnh (Institute of Mathematics)

Time: Thursday, November 24, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm (Hanoi time)

Abstract: In this talk, I will review a paper by Ramis-Sauloy which is mainly about the local analytic classification of q-difference modules in the style of Riemann-Hilbert correspondence. Because our main interest is the case of formal connections, I will try to explain in more detail how to use Picard-Vessiot theory in describing the (big and small) tannakian fundamental groups of the category of formal connections.

If time permits, I will discuss a little bit about q-difference modules.
