Tóm tắt: Bài nói tập trung giới thiệu về lý thuyết biến dạng của các cấu trúc hình học khởi đầu bởi các ý tưởng mang tính chất cách mạng của Kodaira và Spencer trong việc nghiên cứu địa phương các không gian moduli trừu tượng. Nhiều ứng dụng của lý thuyết được đề cập. Cấu trúc phức khả tích sẽ được sử dụng xuyên suốt bài nói như một ví dụ điển hình.
