Aim, objective and scientific content
The purpose of the research school “High Dimensional Probability and applications” is to provide the basics and up-to-date knowledge in High Dimensional Probability theory. This 5-day summer school is composed of 04 mini-courses delivered by leading experts in this field; and a mini-workshop with 02 invited speakers and other speakers.
The mini-courses focus on the following topics:
- Stochastic tri-diagonal matrices (by Manjunath Krishnapur).
- Statistical learning (by Shahar Mendelson).
- Gaussian isoperimetric inequality (by Joseph Neeman).
- Concentration inequalities (by Ke Wang).
The target participants are Master students, PhD students and early-career researchers with interests in Mathematics, Probability, Statistics and Data science. This research school will provide an intellectually stimulating environment for the participants. The participants will benefit from the exposure to the latest research in this field and enjoy the excellent network opportunity. We want to introduce the participants of this school to a broad view in Probability theory and applications, and to prepare them to pursue novel mathematical research.
