Abstract: We consider the l-adic integral identity conjecture in its most general version for special formal schemes via Berkovich’s formalism on the nearby vanishing cycle functors. Using recent advancements from Berkovich and Mieda’s works we shall provide a refinement of a comparison theorem of Berkovich in the conjecture’s setting, from which we give a sketch of proof of this conjecture.
