Abstract: In this presentation, different finite element methods with discontinuous approximations will be discussed including IPDG, HDG and specially WG finite element methods as well as the relations between them. In addition, a new conforming DG finite element method will be introduced which combines the features of both conforming finite element method and discontinuous Galerkin method. |
