TWAS has approved a grant in support of the project entitled "Optimization Approaches for Computing Geometric Shortest Constrained Paths on Terrains" by Asoc. Prof. Phan Thanh An of Institute of Mathematics (Hanoi), VAST. The grant has been selected by the Advisory Committee for the TWAS Research Grants Programme and is given for a research period of up to 24 months.
The selection of TWAS Research Grants is highly competitive, based purely on scientific merit, and has been made out of a very large number of applications.
