Stability of Depths of Symbolic Powers of Stanley-Reisner Ideals

Abstract: We first prove that the depth $depth R / I^{(n)}$ of the residue ring by sym- bolic powers of a squarefree monomial ideal $I$ is constant for enough large $n$ and give a bound of $n$ for which this depth stabilizes. Next in unmixed codimension two case we give a sharp bound for the above $n$ and show that $depth R / I^{(n)}$ is a non-increasing function with respect to $n$.
