Automorphic Representations and Poisson Summation

Abstract: J.-P. Serre introduced the so called Serre's group which is a push-out of torus for GL(1) by some  2-cocycle. Combine this with classical Poisson formula, one obtains the Poisson summation for GL(1). R. Langlands did the same computation of cocycle for general reductive algebraic groups. We used this computation for endoscopic groups and then deduce the general Poisson summation formula.
