Mather-Jacobian singularities and Jet Schemes

Abstract: In this talk, we will discuss about Mather-Jacobian discrepancy. Using this discrepancy we can define "canonical singularity" and "log canonical singularity" for not necessarily normal or Q-Gorenstein variety. We will talk about the basic properties of these singularities and the relation to the jet schemes theory.
