Abstract: In this talk, we explain how the optimal transport can be used to prove some inequalities (in sharp form) in analysis and geometry such as the sharp Sobolev inequality, the sharp Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality, the sharp isoperimetric inequalities, etc.
