Abstract: In this talk, we will discuss some recent results on bounds for the resurgence and asymptotic resurgence of ideals. We give an improved upper bound for the resurgence of sums of ideals that is sharper than a previous one due to Bisui-Hà-Jayanthan-Thomas. We also give complete answers to two conjectures raised by Bisui et al about the unboundedness of the resurgence of the iterated sums of an ideal and about large difference between the resurgence and asymptotic resurgence. Finally, we will show a sharp bound for the resurgence of a fiber product of two ideals in terms of the resurgence of the components. This is based on joint works with Hop D. Nguyen and Le Minh Thuan.
