Visitors to Vietnam must have a valid passport. There are no longer any pandemic travel restrictions in place.
Visa exemptions apply to citizens of many countries, such as Southeast Asian countries, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Belarus. Citizens of the aforementioned countries do not have to apply for a visa if the duration of their stay in Vietnam does not exceed 15 days from the date of arrival (the duration is longer for some Southeast Asian countries).

For citizens of other countries, complete information on how to apply for a visa to enter Vietnam can be found on the websites of Vietnam embassies or consulates.
You can apply for a visa directly at a Vietnam embassy or consulate or, more conveniently, you can apply for an electronic visa (E-visa). Vietnam's E-visa is one of several visa types offered by the Vietnam Immigration Department to foreigners entering the country. An E-visa is valid for 30 days and is single entry only. An E-visa costs 25 USD and requires three full working days to process. Vietnam's E-visa is available to nationals of 80 countries. The participants supported by the School and Workshop will stay at the Guest House (double room) of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (about 200m away from the Institute of Mathematics). Other participants may ask the organizers to book the Guest House for them.
Lecturers and Speakers (unless otherwise specified) will stay at the Somerset Hoa Binh Hanoi, 106 Hoang Quoc Viet Street,Cau Giay District, Hanoi.
The hotel is in a walking distance from the Institute of Mathematics.

How to go from Noi Bai International Airport to downtown hotels?
For participants who stay in downtown hotels, we will arrange a pick-up service for you. In case of an unexpected event or if you cannot meet the pick-up person, you can take a taxi from Noi Bai airport to the hotel or to any other place in the city center. The taxi costs around 15-20 USD for a one way trip.
How to get to the Internet?
The Internet is freely accessible at the airport, at all the hotels and most of the cafes, restaurants, and on buses in Hanoi. It is also freely accessible at the Institute of Mathematics. You may also want to purchase a SIM card at the Noi Bai Airport.
