The project “Zeta functions, Zeta values and related topics” gathers together active mathematicians working in Vietnam and other countries such as France, Belgium.
The project also organizes several workshops and schools with the goal of bringing graduate students and young researchers, unfamiliar with topics in Modern Number Theory, Arithmetic and Algebraic Geometry to the point where they understand the modern techniques. Emphasis will be placed on choosing speakers known for their expertise and their pedagogical skills. We expect that students will understand the big picture and will be able to apply modern techniques. We will pay particular attention to encouraging female participants as well as female speakers.
The aim of the School is to get the students acquainted with some topics of high interest in contemporary mathematics such as Rational actions of algebraic groups, Algebraic groups and their torsors, Elliptic curves and their Mordell-Weil groups, Stark units and L-series of Drinfeld and Anderson modules, Connections in Algebraic Geometry, Introduction to arc space in singularity theory, and Representations of numbers by binary forms. The lectures will be held by well-known experts in the fields.
The School will be followed by an International Workshop. The School participants will have an opportunity to learn about latest achievements in the fields of Number theory, Algebraic and Arithmetic geometry.
