1. How to apply for a visa to enter Vietnam

Visitors to Vietnam must have a valid passport. Firstly, one should find out if one needs a visa to enter Vietnam.

Visa exemptions are provided to citizens of many countries such as Asean countries, France, Germany, South Korea. Please check here for more detail.

2. How to go from Noibai International Airport to the city center

For lecturers and invited guests who stay in the Army Hotel and informed us on arrival/departure dates, we will arrange a pick-up service for you. In case of unexpected event that you cannot meet the pick-up person, you can take a taxi from Noi Bai airport to the hotel or any other place in the city center. The taxi costs you around 15-20 USD for one way trip.

3. Hotels in Hanoi

Lecturers, Invited guest and CIMPA grantees will be supported to stay in the Army Hotel which locates in the city center. See the info about this Hotel at http://www.vietnamhotels.biz/armyhanoi/index.htm . The address of this hotel is 33C Pham Ngu Lao street, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi.

For other participants who pay the accommodation cost by your own, we can help you (if requested) to make a reservation with the Army Hotel. Or you can search in https://www.booking.com or https://www.agoda.com for many other hotels to stay, either near the city center or near the Institute of Mathematics.

4. How to go to the Institute of Mathematics from your hotel

During the school and workshop, there will be a bus to pick up the lecturers and participants from from the Army Hotel to the Institute of Mathematics and on the way back.

Those who might need to take a taxi for private reason should remember the address of the Institute of Mathematics: 18 Hoang Quoc Viet street, Cau Giay district, Hanoi.
